Certification in HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting

HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting is relevant to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting.

This course equips you with the essential skills and knowledge to effectively respond to and manage first aid incidents, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies, providing care until emergency assistance arrives.

HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting is trained in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

We have several modes:

STANDARD COURSE
The Standard face-to-face course spans a longer duration and emphasizes comprehensive training in both skills and knowledge. It includes practical assessments, thoroughly preparing students for these evaluations on the assessment day. This course is particularly beneficial for students who need to practice their skills before participating in the practical assessments. Since First Aid training is refreshed every three years, unless students regularly engage in hands-on workplace training, we recommend opting for the standard course.

EXPRESS COURSE
The Express face-to-face course, on the other hand, is shorter in duration and focuses exclusively on practical assessments. This session does not include preparation for the assessments, as students are expected to arrive with a certain level of practical experience. Ideal for those who have previously completed a first aid course and regularly participated in hands-on workplace training, the Express course is tailored for experienced students. Any additional training needed to complete the practical assessments on the day may incur an extra fee or lead to a recommendation to attend a standard course.
